Privacy policy

This Dialogue is being managed by Isle of Man Government. Dialogue is an interactive online platform where registered users post ideas, comment and vote on each other’s ideas. 

Throughout the Dialogue, Isle of Man Government will require that participants register with the site. Participants will be required to provide a username and email address. The username will be made public along with the comments made in the Dialogue. Please consider this when choosing a username. 

All users and contributors to the Dialogue site must adhere to our moderation policy and you must not post personally identifiable information such as telephone numbers on this website.

Non-registered users are able to view all comments and ideas within the public challenge dialogue.

Use of email addresses

Your email address will only be used for the purposes of administering your access to Dialogue to enable you to post and share an idea online, whether this is for the public challenge or staff suggestion challenge.

Our registration process gives you a choice on whether to ‘opt in’ to permit us to contact you from time to time using the email address used to register on the site. Your email will not be passed on to any third party, and will only be used by the Cabinet Office for the purposes of administering this online platform.

Data Collection and Data Use

Dialogue is administered by the SAVE programme team, which is managed by the Cabinet Office.  All email addresses collected when users register with Dialogue, will be stored within Dialogue software. Management reports downloaded from Dialogue will be held by the Cabinet Office for the duration of the project and for a period of one year after as part of the project records. 

The Cabinet Office is the data controller and owner of all personal data collected though this website. Delib Limited is the data processor and provider of the Dialogue site.

The volume of website traffic data is collected anonymously using Google Analytics for the purposes of analysing visitor usage patterns; however, none of this data can be associated with your individual user identity within the Dialogue. Isle of Man Government will only use these analytics  to assess the effectiveness of the Dialogue as a communications tool.
