Shorter working week or longer holidays in return for a pay cut

Let staff make requests for a shorter working week or for longer holidays in return for pro rata pay cuts.

Why the contribution is important

Government probably doesn't need everybody to work 5 days a week or 46 + weeks a year. Let staff put in a request for a shorter week  or for additional holidays in return for pro rata deductions from their pay.

In particular, some staff aproaching retirement might take advantage of the possibility of reducing their working hours.

Might result in savings from the salary budget.
