SAVING WASTE ON WASTE COLLECTIONS

It appears that the size of bin and frequency of collection of household waste is based on a family of four pre recycling. Many weekly bin collections are for less than half filled bins. I presume regular audits are undertaken by management.(?)

Align collection frequency with fuller bins- fortnightly. It cost little more to collect a full bin than a part empty one. Meanwhile it's costing ratepayers money!

Reduce frequency from weekly to fortnightly, and where there are larger families provide an extra bin.
