REDUCE SENIOR MANAGERS IN GOVT

If there are so many ways of saving scarce public funds it begs the question as to what senior management have been doing! If salary employment costs pension and building provisions ( accomodation) are added the figure per person could easily be £100k p.a.

Allow selected managers to pursue other careers than at the cost of the public purse! If the justification of costs or contributions to savings are not evident the position should be removed.

Ask all senior managers to 'justify their positions' And remove from office the least effective/most costly

    Sorry Gavin if you pay peanuts you get monkeys, people who have senior roles get them usually because they have years, if not decades, of experience and/or suitable qualifications and bring really important knowledge and expertise to a job, those people in most cases have earned the right to be paid a decent wage for the responsibility and level of work they contribute.

    All businesses, including the Government, require Leaders and it would be best if the Government looked after good leaders by paying them rather them a decent wage rather than letting someone less experienced or qualified run various Government Departments as one can only imagine what problems could be caused by inexperienced staff that have no motivation and no chance of promotion or indeed, once they have reached a certain level have to look for other work outside Government to earn more money leaving the Government in a perpetual situation of being run by inexperienced staff.... Ridiculous notion...

    The islands administrations are far too heavily staffed by overpaid senior management

    SuzyB appears to be their spokesperson in this cost saving exercise

    No matter how many highly paid managers we have got at the DOI creating policies it would be good to have some people to paint white lines on the roads!

    Had no idea that managers were so "competent"
    in Government. I know it's a different matter in the real world of private sector business.(No profit=eventually no job.)Certainly, no matter what Suzy B says, her "Civil Service Management,"is not competent enough to make any savings to the call of 25 million anyhow.
