Introduce taxation on religious organisations

At present religious bodies and churches are, I believe, exempt from tax. Churches are profit making institutions which should pay it's share of taxation to the Government.

Why the contribution is important

It is often the case that religious bodies lobby the Government to implement or change law to suit perceived religious needs which can then impact upon the whole of society. It is therefore relevant that the church pays taxes to the Government to benefit the whole of said society.
