does the job centre need to be open 5 days a week?

With such low unemployment rate, is it really justified to have the jobcentre open five days a week?

Surely that could be reduced to three or even two days, and share the space with some other other office that doesn't have to open all the time.

Why the contribution is important

Save money on having the office open all the time, and put the staff to do other tasks during the closed times

It's not just those on Job Seekers that use the Job Centre plus there is a lot more on offer than just a list of jobs. Other sections of DED are also housed in the same building.

There are probably more unemployed than you
    imagine.
Remember, if you are married, you could be unemployed, yet not be counted in official statistics.
