Central Marketing Team for all Government

Consolidate marketing for all of Government so we have single team who are well versed in finance regulatons and we achieve cost reductions via:

- standardised processes

- greater ability to 'bulk buy' design, distribution, tech expertise

- visbility on outputs

- ability to plan workloads

- more productive and engaged multi-tasked staff

Why the contribution is important

It's how professional organisations organise themsevles to be effective and efficient with their marketing functions and it introduces consistency, cost control, procurement efficiency and enables high quality, stand out advertising which is critical to deliver the programme for government.

Also enables blended messaging for multiple government departments DED / DEFA / DOI etc as required.

Trackability can also be introduced so that ALL marketing ACROSS Government can show a ROI and that should dictate if it is undertaken again which prevents future eastage of taxpayer funds.

    OMG nooooo.

We have a "bloated" cabinet office and it's long overdue cutting Civil Servants. We have other centralised purchasing services.

We need to dramatically cut Civil Servants, yes we need VAT collectors, yes we need tax collectors but we don't need "dream & blue sky jobs. Cut, cut and cut.

Not entirely sure government should be in the business of 'marketing' at all, except perhaps for MNH & Culture Vannin promoting the island as a heritage holiday destination
