Why the contribution is important

They took away the buses for people with learning disabilities a few years ago and were not replacing the service with anything at all until the carers/parents ganged up on the finance minister at the time and forced the government to at least provide some level of transport to and from day centres. They thought giving very little notice of the cut would give no time for a response but they were wrong in that case. The truly vulnerable in our society are the first to get cut to the bone and now the Isle of Man has joined the ranks of the slice and dice government policy, but on the Island there is still pockets of resistance from the very people who have saved our government millions by caring for our learning disabled family member for years at little or no cost to the powers that be,but still they swivel their cost cutting heads towards us as the least vocal and least protected of the 'vulnerable' members of society. Give them back the buses!!!!!!!!!!!

Parents have to be responsible for transporting their children to and from school.
If the existing buses are to continue to be used then there should be a pound per trip.
