Equalise Road Spending Across the Isle of Man

At present, a massively disproportionate amount of money is spent by the Department of Infrastructure on repairing and maintaining the TT Course. This was even confirmed by the Minister responsible for DOI https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/road-racing-roads-come-first-says-minister/

This is not sustainable and cannot continue. How is it right that roads in Douglas and Onchan have potholes that resemble asteroid-sized impact craters, while the TT course resembles a billiard table.

Equalise the money across the Island, if the TT course needs extra work then the organisers can employ private contractors to do it and not expect the Government to fund the work.

Why the contribution is important

Doing this would improve the quality of roads around the Island, reducing the scope for accidents caused by poor road surfaces resulting in great braking distances, less damage due to potholes and less gravel and rocks thrown up by moving traffic.
