Compulsory Advanced Driving/Riding Course

At least 1 day of advanced driving education to be provided per year for all of those not holding any advanced certification such as those provided by IAM or Rospa.

This would need to be facilitated by the police (similar to bikesafe in the UK), IAM/Rospa and possibly driving instructors/schools.

Inititiave would likely need to be partly subsidized by public money. Jobs could be created if there were qualified advanced instructors to deliver these courses.

Why the contribution is important

It is broadly unproductive to enforce certain practices and encourage new habbits when driver education is limited to the very few driving hours in the lead up to a driving test. Post-test, only a miniscule number of drivers do take any advanced driving education. All of those who do take advanced education, become safer drivers, more aware of their surroundings, hazards and speed limits.

Statistics prove advanced education saves lives and creates a more harmonious driving environment.
