Develop a "Green New Deal" for the Island to support businesses divesting from fossil fuels and investing in renewable energy, battery storage solutions and improving building insulation

Tax incentives for carbon offsetting using local land sources. Ie business travel offset

I agree with all of the above - and a series of roadshows to let people know what is out there.

incentives to install electric car charging points in staff carparks

incentives to switch to electric delivery vehicles

I agree with promoting and incentivising a green new deal. I believe many companies would be responsive to this and to being promoted as caring companies around the idea of partnership working, all in it together, making our island sustainable and a great place to live etc. which would attract the sorts of businesses, entrepeneurs and employees who would embrace this idea. We also need to be sure to support small Manx businesses, many of whom do their best to produce local produce for local people

All businesses to be required to draft and implement an Active Travel policy, offering incentives and rewards to those who travel actively.

Requests for 'mindset changing' sound Orwellian... Open debate of: 'is The Sun a constant temperature' would strangely NEVER happen. Not: 'a sun' but The Sun note - as environmentalism is now a full on religion, incapable of open minded / free speech defence. There is no money in discussing the period of fast approaching Maunder Minimum cooling - nor how England had vineyards in the (warmer) 13th Century. Piers Corbyn reckons claims of man made 'climate change' are criminal and fraudulent. Quite. When name calling beats discussion, you know the table i$$ rigged, for some juicy carbon offset taxe$$$ - while the City of London laughs all the way to Wa$hington DC at the utter di$traction. Greta (the Goddess???) seemed to skip China in criticising the major polluters, just the West must pay. Go figure. Greenback deals only work with other peeps money, a$$$k Elon. Discuss please. The political puppets here are incapable of ANY free thinking. Yes, don't pollute, granted, but not at the cost of going back to the Dark Ages, when open sewers were consensus public health policy.

Encourage businesses to operate from village/town centres, the spreading out to Cooil Road, for example, should be stopped. This will make people less dependant on cars, especially if the active travel strategy is further progressed.

Village/Town centres would become more vibrant again, which is better for retail there.

Consideration needs to be given to the location of business centres to reduce travel and ensure access by public transport.
Also soft measures such as encouragement of working from home and remote meetings etc
